SAJATA-E FOR D2BD is a small, humble, and happy lifestyles design brand company dedicated to the art of design. Owned and operated by Head Designer SAJATA-E, the creator of the company. This company has chosen the business model (waste not-want not) as it’s core function. Using and refurbishing mostly second hand machinery and furniture SAJATA-E got the idea in 1998 to purchase, request, and refurbish unwanted machinery and furniture in order to reduce the waste in the world while utilizing wonderful New York City machine repair companies in order to keep people employed.

SAJATA-E FOR D2BD has worked hard over the years using mixed mediums/period history in away to create a line that surpasses all label knowledge or what she likes to call “labeledge”. The core base of the line has always been a mix of Campy Comedy/Victorian Inspiration. SAJATA-E has always designed with a comedic focus.
SAJATA-E FOR D2BD is the main clothing line but the company has grown, expanded, and matured over the years to become a lifestyles brand lending it’s name to a assortment of products and services. [A NOTE FROM THE DESIGNER]

“ I have always designed from a comedic point of view. I’m not a business suit designer and I will never be a business suit designer. My designs are wearable pieces of art I use to express myself. The designs itself have been purchased and published for many different reasons but going to a corporate business meeting isn’t one of them. Clothing should tell a story and invoke a feeling. If people don’t either love you or hate you than your not doing your job as an artist. My designs have always raised a few eyebrows. I don‘t take things too personally, it‘s just part of the job”.
